Procurement Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a competent Logistics Coordinator to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods.
A great asset for a Logistics Coordinator is their communication and negotiation skills. They are also well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach.
The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.

POSITION REPORTS TO:
VP of Construction & Development

ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations;
• Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively;
• Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures;
• Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements;
• Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs;
• Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction;
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements;
• Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.;
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement;
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market;
• Talent in negotiations and networking;
• Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software;
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers;
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data;
• Strong leadership capabilities;
• BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration;
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes;

JOB SUMMARY

Total Construction Group is a dynamically developing general constructor and luxury home developer searching for a highly organized and result-oriented JUNIOR CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR to join our team at our office located in North Vancouver, BC.

We have an opening for a full-time JUNIOR CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR to calculate costs and quantities of construction projects. You will collect and analyze data according to a series of useful variables.

The ideal candidate will be very comfortable with numbers and analytical. You must have great attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

The goal is to provide the company with accurate information that will help in operations.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Acquire an understanding of the requirements of the project/program at hand
Select metrics to produce valid estimates
Read drawings, make a take-off
Perform research and other venues to gather essential information
Review documents to collect all necessary data
Analyze data and produce reports and estimates
Prepare detailed reports and bids for submission to appropriate parties
Evaluate the quantity and performance of the material used in the estimate

SKILLS AND REQUOREMENTS:

Completion of a University program in Civil Engineering or a College diploma in Construction Technology;
Proven Knowledge to complete estimates and schedules for projects;
Two-years of construction experience;
Strong organizational skills;
Strong attention to detail;
Result-oriented and matured personality;
Ability meet deadlines;
Ability to lead and motivate others;
Ability to see a Big Picture;
Competent user of Microsoft Office programs and Project Management software,

Total Group of Companies is a dynamically developing general constructor and luxury home developer and building materials supply company searching for a dynamic, self-motivated, organized person to join our team at our office located in North Vancouver, BC.

We have an opening for a full-time CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVEwho will manage customer database, follow up with clients via phone and email offering engineered building solutions, introduce the product line to architects and design firms for their residential and commercial projects. Manage your own assigned territory, contact with new and existing clients in that area, with support from a central operations team. If you have great communication skills, result-oriented and highly motivated person with one-year`s sales experience in the industrial or construction industry, great knowledge of MS Office, this full-time job is for you.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Product knowledge is a MUST - we will train you!
Make the first contact with clients
Map your clients, record them in CRM
Manage a database of the existing a new clients
Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made;
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity;
Prepare presentations and proposals
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge;
Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships;
Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in product sales and customer service
Basic understanding of residential construction
Competent user of Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise and formal business communications;
Result-oriented;
Excellent customer service skills;
Proven negotiations skills;
Well-organized and highly motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team;
Valid driving license and own vehicle is an asset!
